My favorite season in Canada is summer. The real summer in Canada lastsonly two months, July and August. During these two months, the temperatureclimbs above 20 and it's always sunny. The trees become green again and thewhole city is full of various flowers. Day time is longer and night time isshorter. Most time we have sunlight until 10 in the evening.
The reason that I like summer is because summer time is the best season foroutdoor activities. I love hiking, jogging, and biking. I can go to nationalparks or city parks easily in summer. Summer gives me so much fun.
Just like what I've said, I love hiking, jogging, and biking in summer. Istill remember I went to different national parks last summer for hiking. I sawbeautiful lakes and mountains. I even encountered a bear looking for food, whichwas pretty amazing experience.
Weather may affect people' choice of activities. It's warm outside insummer, so more people will choose outdoor activities. We always have more musicfestivals or food festivals in summer. Winter is super cold in Canada. Peoplewould like to stay home instead of going outside.

I was in the third grade at the local primary school in Montreal, Canadawhen the event took place. It was about participating in a quiz competition andI won the first prize there. I was awarded a certificate and a nice piece ofwater jar as a recognition. In fact, it was the first achievement of my life.During the school days, I have achieved many other prizes and in the later partof the college, I also secured a notable number of awards. I am turning nostalgic. Here I will describe the event inbrief.
It was an inter-class quiz competition. Since I had a neck to know abouteverything by reading books since an early age, I attempted at the event. My momalso inspired me to participate in the competition. Actually, she inspired memost to be at the competition and also told me that I do not have to win theevent. She wanted me to increase my knowledge and experience from that earlyage. Finally, I took part there and it was a grand success for me. I won thefirst prize in that inter-class quiz competition. And since then, I have neverbeen second in position in the other competitions I took part in.
The event is still memorable for many reasons. I was a girl of hardly sevenyears old. And it was really daring to express the intention to take part in aheavy competition. The questions were made based on categories. I selected twocategories and correctly answered all the questions. When it was in a group, Itried to score the highest point for my group. The competition was tougher. Mostof the participants were my seniors and I was the youngest competitor amongthem. So, many of them ignored me and when I won the prize, it was a nice replyfrom my part to them. Hence, the memories are still awake in my mind.
The feelings are sweet. I was a little girl then and now a matured lady.But this time, I have undergone a large number of sweet and sour experiences inmy life. I have won in battles, I failed. I stood up again. But the beginning ofthis battle started with the winning of the quiz competition in my childhood.After that event, I have won many prizes in home and abroad. But the feelingsare not the same as it was for the first quiz competition. I feel charmed forthat event.
